Basically, Lady Gaga should have a spot on this blog.
It struck me that I should post this after hearing Bad Romance every single morning on the radio. The song got stuck in my head (is still stuck), so I decided to watch the music video... which lead to the Oprah interview. Please watch both of them.
What I like about Gaga's videos is that you aren't sure what's going on, but you get it. It's like listening to a song in a foreign language--you don't know what their talking about, but you understand because of the music. Or reading Walt Whitman. If you've read Leaves of Grass (anyone??), you know that a lot of his words don't make sense, but you get his point.
And her fashion? I like what she said in the Oprah interview, about how everything she wears is a commentary on culture, and an expression of who she is. Shouldn't all fashion do those two things?
