Life lesson #2: classic is best!
Lately, I've been doing a more laid-back, modern look: smoky black eyeliner, mussed up hair, and uggs or converse. But this morning I was feeling boring and slobbish, so I popped on some heels that miraculously don't hurt (much!), and took myself back to the 1940s: Strong brows, thin black eyeliner, pink cheeks, and cherry-red lips. I felt like my hair (which is short and straight--think Mia Farrow meets Audrey Hepburn)should get some attention too, so long story short I used a curling iron for texture instead of gunk.
I got so many compliments, proving that the latest isn't always in fact the greatest. Learn your history!
